Test Duration – 120 Minutes Max Marks – 75 Negative Marking – ½ or 0.50 or 0.25 Questions Type– MCQs only Section-wise break up- General Knowledge(Gk): 30 Objective type multiple choice questions with single correct option testing general awareness on current affairs Legal Aptitude(LA): 15 Objective type multiple choice questions with single correct option testing general awareness on legal concepts and terminologies Logical reasoning(LR): 15 Objective type multiple choice questions with single correct option testing understanding of logical relationships Mathematics: 30 Questions from the areas of Arithmetic, Algebra, Trigonometry & Geometry.

New Pattern - The test consists of 100 objective type questions testing GK, LA & LR each section carrying equal marks i.e.; 50 Mark per section Test Duration – 180 Minutes Max Marks–100 Negative Marking– ½ or 0.50 or 0 .25 for wrong answers Questions Type- MCQs only Section wise break up- General Knowledge(Gk) : 40 Objective type multiple choice question with one correct option Legal Aptitude (LA) : 40 Objective type multiple choice questions with one correct option Logical reasoning(LR): 20 Objective type multiple choice questions with one correct option Mathematics: 20 Questions from the areas of Arithmetic, Algebra, Trigonometry & Geometry.

What is CLAT exam syllabus?

The syllabus for CLAT examination is based on the 12th standard NCERT syllabus prescribed by the CBSE for All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE). However, it is not necessary to cover the entire NCERT syllabus and a candidate may focus only on those topics which are relevant to CLAT. The following broad topics are covered in CLAT:

General Knowledge:- This section covers current affairs, static knowledge including the history of India and Indian National Movement, science and technology.
